Considering A Consultation - Six Common Questions Everyone Asks…

Will my “Brows look like black slugs”?

Oh, if only I had a pound every time I’m asked this questions! Ok, it’s vital to remember that, as in all industried, there is great work, good work and - yes - downright dreadful work. THAT IS WHY YOU MUST DO YOUR RESEARCH AND CHECK, CHECK AND CHECK AGAIN THE ARTIST’S WORK!!

As a specialist in Hairstroke ‘Brows, my work replicates natural hair blending in with your own hair to give a beautiful, natural brow that is there every day! Yes, the dressed Black Slugs do exist, bu that is a products of poo/cheap training, inferior products etc., it is not typical of dedicated, experienced artist who has taken months - and not DAYS - to qualify.

Does it hurt?

Nope. You can apply numbing cream before your procedure for ‘Brows and Lips, such as Emla, which you can purchase locally for £3-4. It goes on 2 hours before, then 1 hour before, and it really takes the sting out. I kid you not, I’ve often had to gently wake my clients up as they’ve nodded off! (My heated couch cover also helps, admittedly!)

Will you shave all my eyebrows off first?

Now why would I do that? I do sometimes ‘tidy up’ the strangely areas first, or after procedure, but always with you permission. I integrate my Hairstrokes with your, giving a great 3D effect which looks totally natural.

How long does it last?

Well it depends. On average I say 9 months to a year. However, us girls and our makeup differ so much from each other - some like really dark and defined brows, eyeliner and lips, others really soft and natural - that I give you options. If you like darker and more defined, perfect outlines (for example Latino eyeliner) then Colour Boosts start from just £55 for 3-5 months, a 6-8 months boost is £85 and so on. It gives you total control over your colour, shape and how often you have it boosted.

Is it a tattoo?

Yes, it’s a form of tattooing. However, it differs from body tattooing because of the material that used in the machinery. The main difference is that pigments are used, and not inks. I use the highest grade pigments from Karen Bett’s range - KB Pro = they’re medical grade, hold their colours really well and last. Body tattooists use ink, which the body can’t break down. Pigment does over time, hence the term ‘Semi-Permanent’.

Can I go on holiday afterwards?

Any form of tattooing loses colour once it’s subjected to light, and that includes not only direct sunlights, but also artificial light, light from tablets and phones, screens etc. Therefore going on holiday immediately after your brand new treatment is not advisable as they’ll fade more. Yes, protect with factor 30 minimum, but probably better to wait until afterwards.
